Laos travel - elephant rides

How does Laos Travel Plan work?

Create your own Laos travel plan with the help of our Laos travel modules. Pick and choose your favourite Laos travel programs or as we call them, 'modules', to build your itinerary. Modules are short 2 - 5 day travel experiences. You can also choose from one of our sample Laos itineraries; which are perfect combinations of Laos travel modules.

We can arrange your transfer on arrival and first two overnight stays in Vientiane and Luang Prabang; our Easy Going Starter Package Vive Vientiane and Easy Going Starter Package Luang Prabang takes the hassle out of the first days of your trip. To get started just fill out the quote request form or send us an e-mail at info@laosonline.com.au.

As flights are cheaper to Bangkok in neighbouring Thailand, a lot of people have a night or two in Bangkok and take the night train from Bangkok to Vientiane and cross the border to Laos this way (we can also arrange this for you). Or if you're flying straight into Laos then most likely you'll begin your trip with our Easy Going Starter Pack in Vientiane or Luang Prabang, which includes an airport transfer and accommodation for your first two nights.

You then have a wide range of travel modules to choose from in Laos. From Vientiane most people travel north, via Vang Vien to the charming city of Luang Prabang where you can spend two days as an elephant caretaker. Also from Luang Prabang you can go on long or short treks to distant villages. A short domestic flight to Pakse, in southern Laos, will allow you to see the lush green environment of the Boloven Plateau, where you can see impressive waterfalls in the rainforest. You can also visit islands in the famous Mekong River during your Laos trip.

Laos transportation may include a combination of public transportation options. You'll travel by comfortable buses and for larger distances you'll take domestic flights. The best way to travel from Bangkok to the border of Laos is by train; naturally we will make all the necessary arrangements. Shorter transfers, for instance a taxi or tuk-tuk from your hotel back to the airport, are easier and much cheaper for you to arrange locally yourself.

Choose from our selection of travel modules or a suggested itineraries, and then fill out your choices on our online quote request form or send us an e-mail at info@laosonline.com.au or call us on 1300 175 088 or 08 8125 1825. We'll put together a comprehensive Laos Travel Plan for you and email this to you. If you want to make any changes to your Travel Plan just let us know and we'll adjust it to match your preferences. Once it's absolutely perfect, you can book the trip using our booking form.

Once we've received the booking form, we'll start making the arrangements for your trip with our local representative in Laos, and after we've received your payment you'll receive a final confirmation.

Have fun creating, planning and preparing for your Laos trip.
